CAMPAIGN UNDER THE SLOGAN “TRADE UNION – DEFENDER OF THE PEOPLE”

 The priority areas of activity of the trade unions as a public organization are the protection and preservation of the achievements of state independence, strengthening peace and stability throughout the country, ensuring national unity, safeguarding the social and economic interests of trade union members, and creating decent living conditions for every employee.

    Alongside the creative work of our people, who are taking confident steps toward a modern and dignified life, the trade unions also bear great responsibility for exercising public control over the observance of the labor legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, creating favorable living conditions for employees of various sectors, protecting their rights and interests, and ensuring social justice.

     From the very beginning of the period of State Independence to the present day, the trade unions, as a reliable partner, have been making a significant contribution—with a strong sense of responsibility—to the implementation of the economic and social policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The trust and confidence of the people in this public organization clearly demonstrate that the trade unions maintain close ties with society and play an active role in addressing social and labor issues of the population.

    As part of the Action Plan of the Sughd Regional Council of Trade Unions and in honor of Trade Union Day, on October 21 of this year, a campaign under the slogan “Trade Union – Defender of the People” was held in the streets and avenues of Khujand City, featuring the distribution of informational materials.

     During the campaign, citizens and members of trade unions received informational, promotional, and congratulatory materials and were informed about the main areas of activity of trade unions and their role in protecting the interests of employees.
